Mind Reading Goggles
The MIT Media Lab has come up with a pair of glasses that can read a person's facial expression and detect emotions throughout a conversation. The glasses have a built in camera linked to software that analyzes facial expressions.
These 'mind reading goggles**' were developed by Rosalind Picard, Rana el Kaliouby, and Simon Baron-Cohen, and were originally intended to help an autistic individual recognize peoples' emotions during conversations.
Currently, the technology is being used for market research ie: testing emotional reactions to advertisements, movies, tv, etc...
