Get Involved with us for Bass Drop NYE 2012

Greetings friends and family! If you haven't heard, we are continuing our New year's Eve tradition at the historic Portage Theatre by gathering for a very special night of live electronic music, entrancing live art, and celebratory performances. If you've been to either of the past two years events, you know that the entire experience is created from a group effort beyond just the main stage. That being said, we have a few opportunities that we would like to share with you.

Anti Cruelty CATpaign

Anti Cruelty has recently started a promotion entitled the CATpaign. This program was created to help cats that have been in their care the longest.

Anti Cruelty has no time limits on how long they keep an animal, and in general cats tend to stay with them longer than dogs. Older pets are usually less desirable as are those with special needs.

Working for a New World

As I sit here to write my first post, and introduce myself to all you wonderful folks, an early summer thunderstorm moves in from the west. I hear the thunder and feel the cool wind through my window. I see the lightning flash a brilliant purple and can’t help but thinking of the similarities between storms and the current condition of our global human community, our family. Storms are born out of imbalances in the atmosphere, the clash of warm air with cold.

Going to Europe!

First, I would like to introduce myself as Michael Brown (Downtown)
As a contributor to Funky Boosters, the goal of future blogs is to document events pertaining to my life Experiences and their relation to a larger scene, community, and World.
